ENSINGER at Tonyrefail in South Wales is the UK headquarters of parent company, ENSINGER GmbH, who are based in Nufringen in Germany. In 1966 when, using simple equipment in a garage, Wilfred Ensinger attempted to extrude innovative plastics into semi-finished products, he never dreamed of the success his efforts would bring. A feel for technical feasibility and new applications made him a pioneer in the development of high performance plastics. In the last thirty years, he and his inventive employees have succeeded in manufacturing engineering and high performance plastics for a very wide range of applications in a most innovative way. Today, under the second generation management, ENSINGER has almost one thousand employees worldwide working on new concepts and solutions.
One fundamental reason for the continuous growth of the group is without doubt the fact that the products are manufactured from completely new materials and therefore constantly find their way into new applications - applications which to date have either been impossible or have only been possible at great expense using metals and ceramics.
ENSINGER was established in the UK in December 1987 with three people and has since grown to incorporate six branches at strategic locations within the UK employing almost 200.
